I’m hired by parks, historical sites, museums, arts organizations, and environmental centers.

I work with artists, young people, historians, neighbors, scientists, and elders.

Together, we design interpretive projects, create artist residencies, develop community programs, and re-imagine public art.

Why I Do This Work

I believe public sites should be accessible and meaningful to everyone.

I believe racism, patriarchy, classism, and other forms of oppression have restricted the meaning and use of public sites. For some, this has created a crisis of public irrelevance.

I believe that by collaborating with artists and members of the public who have been systematically excluded from participating in how public sites are shaped, used, and managed, we can make them more meaningful for everyone.

I believe public sites can benefit from the insights that artists offer: critical inquiry, spiritual awareness, and grounding in the five senses.

I believe nature is an integral part of human history and human history is inseparable from nature.

I believe that even history that has been lost - by intention, accident, or neglect - can still be told.
